Prince Harry has been quizzed on whether he'll attend to the coronation of his father, King Charles III, later this year in a fresh clip from his upcoming bombshell ITV interview. The Duke of Sussex has already been seen saying he wants his father and brother back during the interview, which is due to be released this Sunday (January 8).
His sit-down with Tom Bradbury, who he has known for more than 20 years, will be released two days before his memoir, titled Spare, is published. In a new trailer for the forthcoming interview, Tom is heard questioning Prince Harry about his decision to discuss his relationships with family members in his autobiography.
"I don’t know how staying silent is ever going to make things better," the duke says. Tom is then heard asking: "Wouldn’t your brother say to you, ‘Harry, how could you do this to me after everything? After everything we went through?' Wouldn’t that be what he would say?"

Harry replied: "He would probably say all sorts of different things." The clip then cuts to show Tom asking his interviewee: "Some people will say you’ve railed against invasions of your privacy all your life and the accusation will be here are you invading the privacy of your nearest and dearest without permission, now that will be the accusation."
But Prince Harry responds: "That would be the accusation from people that don’t understand or don’t want to believe that my family have been briefing the press."
In the new clip, the interviewer also asks Prince Harry about plans for the coronation King Charles, set May 6 this year, as well as about his view of the monarchy and his role in it. "If you are invited to the coronation will you come?" Tom asked to which the 35-year-old prince replied: "There’s a lot that can happen between now and then."
He then added: "But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it."
He was also asked by Tom: "Do you still believe in the monarchy?" to which Prince Harry simply replied: “Yes." But when asked if he'd be playing a part in its future, he answered: "I don’t know."
The release of the new clip comes after Prince Harry reportedly claimed he was physically attacked by his brother over his marriage to Meghan Markle. In a leaked extract of his highly anticipated autobiography, to The Guardian newspaper, Harry alleges the confrontation took place at his London home in 2019 and had left him with a visible injury to his back after the now-Prince of Wales grabbed his brother by the collar and ripped his necklace before knocking him to the floor.
Harry further claimed William had called the American actress “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive” – comments which the younger brother said parroted “the press narrative” about his wife. According to The Guardian newspaper, the “extraordinary scene” is “one of many in Spare” which is due to be published on January 10.
ITV's interview with Prince Harry will come at the same time a chat the royal did with CBS News in America is released. In the chat across the pond, Harry criticises Buckingham Palace over an alleged failure to defend him and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, before they stepped down as senior royals. The duke also reveals to the US broadcaster that he would not return to the institution as a full-time royal despite his diplomatic response to Tom on ITV.
Harry: The Interview on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm on 8 January.
