Prince Harry 'absolutely furious' by treatment during Queen's Jubilee, claims expert

A royal expert believes Prince Harry is "absolutely furious" over his treatment during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Sussexes attended one Jubilee event publicly – the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's. They were sat in the second row and across the aisle from Kate and Prince William, with the couples not acknowledging each other or exchange eye contact.

Ahead of the service to mark the Queen's 70-year reign, Harry could be seen laughing at jokes and chatting with family and friends as he sat beside his wife.

Angela Levin, who penned the Duke of Sussex's biography, told The Sun : "The thing that really stood out for me on that day was Harry's anger – he wears his emotions on his face and he looked absolutely furious.

"He could have been feeling lots of things, I don't know whether he had a wave of feeling at what he had given up. He is self-destructive and might regret what he has lost, maybe he was recalling bad memories and was wishing he hadn't come at all."

The Sussexes were also shunned from a Buckingham Palace balcony appearance, with the Queen only having working royals in the line-up for Trooping the Colour.

Harry and Meghan were also keen for their own photographer to capture the moment the Queen met their daughter for the first time at Windsor – it it is reported they were told "no chance" as it was a private moment.

The photographer has not been named, but their friend and regular snapper Misan Harriman took the picture of Lilibet at Frogmore Cottage to mark her first birthday last Saturday.

Harry and Meghan did not spend any private time with Prince William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis during the Jubilee, it is reported, and William's family is unlikely to have met Lilibet at all.

An insider said the relationship between the brothers remains "fraught" after the Sussexes" transatlantic "truth bombs" about the Royal Family on Oprah and friendly podcasts in the US.

It's understood that William and Harry did not meet privately during the four-day celebrations, with Harry swiftly returning to California and didn't think to check the diary of his brother to smooth things over.
