Prince George has been seen visiting Eton with his parents which is the school his father Prince William attended as a young boy.
The nine-year-old royal has been attending Lambrook School in Berkshire since September last year but a visit to the prestigious public school on Wednesday has sparked speculation about whether he will follow in his father's footsteps.
Prince William also attended the historic £46,000 a year boys' school near Windsor as a child from 1995 after his father King Charles went to Scottish boarding school Gordonstoun which he apparently hated.
George, who will turn 10 next month, was seen accompanied by his parents Kate and William at the college on Wednesday as the Prince and Princess of Wales chatted with the staff, the Mirror reports.
Hello! reports that Kate was seen wearing an elegant aquamarine dress and ballet pumps as she chatted to two employees of the famous school.
Previous reports about the school detail that once through the school doors, a statue of the college's founder King Henry VI is displayed in the school yard.
Prince William was the first senior royal to go to Eton, followed by his younger brother Harry who was also educated there between 1998 and 2003.
The extortionate fees for Eton are a whopping £15,432 per term according to the school's website with a £400 fee just for registering although scholarships are only offered to pupils who pass an exam.
It is one of three public schools to have remained as boys only, alongside Harrow and Radley and has educated the likes of English novelist George Orwell and British actor Eddie Redmayne.
It also is the former school to 20 British Prime Ministers including Boris Johnson and David Cameron.
While Eton only takes boys from the age of 13-years-old, it's believed Kate and William may be introducing George to school early if he is also to study there.
The young prince currently attends Lambrook School in Berkshire which is the same school as his sister Princess Charlotte and brother Prince Louis.
Prior to that, he was at St Thomas' in Battersea, London.
As well as strong academic standards, the private mixed school of Lambrook has 178 LAMDA lessons on offer each week along with 420 individual music lessons from bagpipe playing to tap dancing.
The school also hugely focuses on the environment with each class in charge of its own vegetable patch as well as the children being given lessons on ecology and the food industry.
Pupils also planted 300 saplings last year to reduce their carbon footprint and the school homes rabbits which the children are welcome to pet at lunchtimes.
A previous post on the school's Instagram read: "The Lambrook Orchard is home to pigs, chickens, rabbits, bees and visiting lambs.
"As part of our sustainability curriculum, we teach our children about their natural environment; our hope is that caring for these animals will equip the children with practical skills, a greater understanding of animal welfare and the food industry, as well as providing plenty of entertainment and joy."
The three royal siblings joined the school last September with Headmaster Jonathan Perry formally introducing them as he said: "We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community."
