Princess Diana's tragic death 25 years ago left her bereft then-teenage sons Prince William and Prince Harry grief-stricken.
And nobody can forget the heartbreaking image of them united in grief as they walked behind her coffin at her funeral. Her shocking and untimely death at the age of 36 meant she never went on to see her sons grow into young men and marry their wives. And nor would she meet her five grandchildren - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Archie and Lilibet. But both William and Harry seem determined to ensure their children - Diana's grandchildren - know all about their late grandmother.
And on Mother's Day in 2020, it was revealed that William's youngsters George, Charlotte and Louis carry out a yearly tradition to remember their granny.
Each Mother's Day they create cards remembering Diana for William - and that year Charlotte's contained a particularly poignant message.
Her message was on a fuchsia-coloured card with a hand-drawn multi-coloured heart.
And in it, she made sure to mention how much her dad William misses his mum.

Charlotte wrote: "Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on mother's day.
"I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx".
Meanwhile, older brother George used joined-up writing on bright green card to say: "Dear Granny Diana, happy happy Mother's Day.
"I love you very much and think of you always, sending lots of love from George xxxxx.
And Louis, who was just two at the time, also used green card for his Mother's Day card which featured a colourful heart surrounded by several animals - all of which had been stuck onto the card.
The cards were posted on the official Twitter account for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge where four images were uploaded, with a heartfelt message.
It revealed: "Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William. Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day."
In the 2017 documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, William spoke openly saying he is committed to making sure his children know all about their late grandmother.
He said wants his kids to “know who she was and that she existed” and told how he “constantly” talks to his children “about Granny Diana” at bedtime so that they know “there are two grandmothers in their lives”.
The future king said: “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her and we talk about her a bit.”
He added: “It’s hard because obviously Catherine didn’t know her so she cannot really provide that level of detail, so I regularly put George and Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try to remind them that there are two grandmothers, there were two grandmothers in their lives.
“So it’s important that they know who she was and that she existed.”
