PRINCE Charles has refused to apologise on behalf of the Queen for the “assimilation and genocide” of Canada’s indigenous residential school children, leaders of the country’s indigenous population have said.
During a visit to the Canadian capital, the Duke of Rothesay instead “acknowledged” the nation’s dark past.
