Prince Charles' priceless reply when cheeky fan asks if he fancies going for a beer

Prince Charles left royal fans in stitches with his priceless reply to a cheeky royal fan who asked him out for a beer.

The heir to the throne had been walking through Victoria Square in Birmingham while visiting the city for the Commonwealth Games when he greeted some of those in the crowd. As he was spotted making his way through the square, local man Daniel Walker, who was on his way to meet some friends for a drink thought he'd ask the Prince of Wales to join him. Video of the encounter shows Daniel shout: "Charles, Charles, are you going to go for a beer?"

The prince then turns around and says: "What?" and when Daniel asks him again, he cheekily replies: "Where?" leaving the crowds cracking up.

Daniel then tells him: "Anywhere, Albert's Schloss?" with Charles saying: "thank you so much."

But for the 32-year-old, that wasn't the end of his encounter with the future King.

He explained to Birmingham Live : "I walked around and I could see his security guard wanted to speak to me.

"I introduced myself and he said if you hang out here you can chat to him. I waited around five minutes and Prince Charles came over and asked me what I did and shook my hand.

"He said ‘good luck with your ventures’. It’s changed my view of Prince Charles. I thought the Royal Family was stuck up. I am all about laughs and jokes. My mates thought I was lying."

Footage of the exchange later ended up on Tik Tok where it's now been viewed thousands of times.

Charles has been spotted numerous times while out and about on engagements enjoying a swift beer.

Earlier this year, ahead of St Patrick's Day, he got a lesson in how to pull the perfect pint of Guinness - but it left his wife Camilla in fits of giggles.

He appeared to struggle as he had to be helped in tipping the glass to get the perfect pint.

After topping up another pint that had been half poured, he only let it settle for a few seconds before taking a sip.

And his struggle left wife Camilla laughing - especially as he ended up with froth on his nose - while others mocked him online for his poor attempt.
