Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the 3 worth binge-watching this week (Jan. 7-11)

A new year always brings the perfect excuse to refresh your watchlist, and Prime Video’s ever-changing top 10 is a good place to start. With so many titles climbing the charts each week, though, it can be hard to tell which shows are genuinely worth your time. Speaking of time, not everyone has hours to spare trawling through everything a streaming service has to offer.

So rather than scrolling endlessly, I’ve stuck to what’s climbing the charts. After digging through the rankings, here are three titles that are genuinely worth your time this week: a 2016 spy thriller returning with a new season, the post-apocalyptic hit based on a video game franchise, and a tense action-thriller.

This list is based on the Prime Video top 10 U.S shows as of Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Best shows in the Prime Video top 10

‘The Night Manager’

It’s rare for a show to suddenly make a comeback ten years after its debut, but “The Night Manager” proves that strong storytelling and performances can keep audiences invested. The original 2016 limited series was a critical and awards-winning hit, earning multiple Emmys and Golden Globes. In 2024, it was officially renewed for a second and third season, with Tom Hiddleston returning and key creators back on board, effectively expanding the story well beyond the first season’s standalone adaptation of John le Carré’s novel.

“The Night Manager” follows Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston), a former British soldier working as a hotel night manager who’s recruited by intelligence to help infiltrate the inner circle of a dangerous international arms dealer. To gain access to the target’s world, Pine must pose as a criminal and win the trust of powerful, shadowy figures involved in illegal arms trading. Season 2 has already premiered in the U.K on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and will begin streaming on Prime Video U.S on January 11.

‘Fallout’

Given that it’s wasteland Wednesday, there’s a new episode of “Fallout” season 2 to stream. This series continues to be a thrilling watch. Based on the acclaimed role-playing game franchise, it stands as one of the strongest video game adaptations so far. As someone familiar with the source material, it’s impressive to see how closely the show sticks to the original while still carving out its own identity. This season keeps its sharp, confident writing, balancing explosive set pieces with flashes of dry humor. Episode 4 is ready and waiting.

“Fallout” is set more than 200 years after a nuclear war devastated the United States. The story begins when Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), a young Vault dweller who’s lived her whole life underground, leaves Vault 33 and steps into the dangerous, ruined wasteland outside in search of her kidnapped father, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan). Along the way she encounters Maximus (Aaron Moten), a soldier of the Brotherhood of Steel, and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), a hardened bounty hunter with his own agenda.

‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’

There seems to be a renewed appetite for spy thrillers at the moment, since another show has crept into the top 10. “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” which first premiered in 2018 and finished with season 4 in 2023, is based on the novels created by, you guessed it, Tom Clancy. The series draws inspiration from his original books, though it tells an updated, serialized story rather than directly adapting any single novel. If you’re in the mood for some explosive action, this is the show to watch.

Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) is a CIA analyst whose life changes when he stumbles onto suspicious financial activity that pulls him out of his desk job and into dangerous field assignments around the world. In the first season, Ryan’s investigation into unusual bank transfers leads him into a high‑stakes cat‑and‑mouse chase with a rising extremist threat. Across later seasons, he tackles political instability in Venezuela, uncovers a nuclear bomb conspiracy in Europe, and serves as the CIA’s Acting Deputy Director while confronting internal corruption.
