Turns out saying goodbye to Cousins Beach isn't forever. Just hours after the emotional "The Summer I Turned Pretty" series finale dropped, Prime Video announced that Belly’s story isn’t over — the hit young adult drama is getting a movie!
Jenny Han, who wrote the bestselling trilogy and adapted it for television, will co-write with Sarah Kucserka and direct the feature. The film is set to serve as the official conclusion to Belly Conklin’s (Lola Tung) journey, following three seasons of love triangles, heartbreaks and sun-soaked summers that had fans debating Team Conrad versus Team Jeremiah with great intensity all over social media. (Not sure there really was much of a debate, because Team Conrad, duh.)
