Featuring a star-studded cast with Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jones, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, the action-packed spy series, "Citadel", will be released on April 28 with a two-episode premiere on Prime Video.
New episodes will be released weekly on Friday till May 26. Produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO and showrunner David Weil, the series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The series starts with the fall of Citadel, an independent global spy agency, at the hands of Manticore, a powerful syndicate that manipulates the world from the shadows. Two Citadel's elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Singh (Priyanka Chopra Jones), with their memories wiped, narrowly escape with their lives. They rebuilt new identities unaware of their past. One night, tracked down by an old colleague, Mason meets Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who needed his help to stop Manticore in creating a new world order. Kane, reuniting with his old partner Singh, embarks on a mission to stop Manticore while dealing with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.
Other cast members include Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer, Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence, Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy, Roland Møller as Anders Silje and more. Each "Citadel" series is produced and filmed in-region. The series is already underway in Italy and India, starring Matilda De Angelis, Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
