Police investigating the arson attack have issued images of two people they wish to identify - (Sussex Police)

The Prime Minister is "appalled" by an arson attack on a mosque in East Sussex, his spokesman said today.

Two people managed to escape the Peacehaven Community Mosque in Phyllis Avenue when the front entrance and a car outside were set alight by masked thugs on Saturday night.
