Prime Energy drink to hit Glasgow Aldi shelves this week as part of supermarket's 'special buy'

The viral Prime Energy drinks, created by YouTube influencers KSI and Logan Paul, has had people travelling for hours up and down the country to get their hands on any flavour that they can - so much so videos have gone viral of people queuing in their hundreds to buy it - and some even fighting.

And while it has been hard to get a hold of some, if you're out and about tomorrow and near an Aldi, then it's your lucky day.

The popular Special Buy is returning to the budget supermarket which saw shoppers ‘climbing over each other’ to get their hands on it the last time it hit shelves, reports MEN.

Fr keen fans of the YouTubers, the drink, or both, the viral hydration drink will be available to buy in Aldi again - for just £1.99.

Aldi confirmed its return will be available nationwide from Tuesday (April 18) however as it’s a Special Buy, once they’re gone, they’re gone - so you will want to be quick.

The viral drink is available in six different flavours, including the new Limited Edition Orange and Mango, Meta Moon, Tropical Punch, Blue Raspberry, Lemon and Lime, and Ice Pop.

Due to it soaring in popularity, a purchase limit of one of each flavour per customer has been set to ensure as many people as possible get the opportunity to buy Prime.

The drink, which is 10 per cent coconut water, contains electrolytes and B vitamins and BCAAs, has zero sugar and around 20 calories per bottle.

The craze has seen people buy bottles for upwards of £10 a pop, with some sellers on eBay and Facebook taking advantage of the hype, and selling the drink for even more.

In February, the YouTubers revealed that in year one they cleared $250 million in retail sales and $110million gross internally. They also said that in January 2023 alone, they did $45 million.

KSI, who's real name is JJ Olatunji, and Paul have also signed a new deal with UFC to become an official sponsor of the MMA promotion.
