Primary school pupils were 'left in tears' after heartless thieves broke into their school and stole their pet budgies. Brentry Primary School had 20 budgies in a purpose-built heated aviary.
But last night, at around 11.30pm, two people got into the Bristol school, broke the lock, and took all of the birds. Shocked staff and pupils have been left "devastated", fearing they will never see them again, reports BristolLive.
The school's caretaker realised the birds were gone on Thursday, March 9. CCTV then revealed two people had made their way into the aviary, before walking off carrying the birds in three breeding boxes.
