Primark shoppers are calling to leave a certain style of footwear in the 00s, following one of the retail giant's recent Instagram posts. Shared with a photo of two of the product's colourways, Primark wrote: "Which colour are you choosing? Shoes £7."
The picture showed two pairs of dolly shoes/ballerina pumps - one pair in brown and black and the second in two varying shades of pink. Both pairs were adorned with a little bow on the front of each shoe. But shoppers were mixed in their reactions.
One wrote: "These shoes need to stay in the early 2000s and 2010s" while a second said: "These belong in 2009" and a third commented: "Didn't we all collectively agree to forget these even existed."

Others asked: "Are these back (in fashion)?" And one unforgiving shopper simply wrote: "Straight to jail".
But while for many it was the style of shoes in particular that they just couldn't get on board with, for others it was the colour options. One shopper said: "Always colours that I would never wear... so tired of seeing pink... is it available in black and white or black and blue?" To which other customers replied to say that there were also plain tan, plain black, navy and white in stores.
Many customers noted that they had already bought the shoes in multiple colourways and others called for extra padding, describing them as being "so uncomfortable" they felt like wearing "three inch heels". A few even called for wide fit options, similar to recent calls for more sizing options when it comes to Primark's clothing.
But a lot of customers simply seemed confused. One Primark fan remarked: "Oh god not these again! Appear to have woken up in 2005!" And another asked: "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?" With a third begging Primark to "put something else back in fashion but not this."
