Holidays are just around the corner, Christmas jumper day is this Thursday... how many excuses do you really need to shop for a novelty sweater or cardigan? If you're in the market for wearing the festive season, Primark's latest offering could be just up your street.
In fact, one shopper loved the Christmas knitwear so much they "just bought them all!" Click on to Primark's website and you'll discover an array of novelty sweaters with everything from Christmas trees to cheeky elves on the front. However, it was the retailer's festive cardis that sparked the interest of shoppers.
Following an Instagram post that read 'getting into the festive spirit Shhhhop our Novelty Cardigans from £14/€16/$18 #Primark #WorstKeptSecret', fans of the store showed their love with over 27k likes and in excess of 700 comments on the post. Highlighting three items - a green cardigan sporting candy canes, a red design with a Christmas tree and gingerbread figures, and a pretty pink 'holiday kisses' button up - the social media post prompted a huge reaction from fans of the fast fashion brand.

"The red one is sooo cute!!!," said one shopper. "Love the green cardi," said another. A third added: "Got the gingerbread one and got the pink one, I love them."
Primark, which has stores in Long Row, Nottingham city centre, as well as Four Seasons shopping centre, Mansfield, says prices for the novelty wear start from £14. Social media users loved the designs adding: "I think you need a festive cardi xx." Another said: "Need it in my life." Tagging in a friend, another said: "We need to get to primark!!!"
However, some thought they'd seen the clothing item elsewhere. One person joked: "I swear I saw that pink and white cardigan on one of Santa's Elves last weekend!"
For others, there was a sense of urgency about buying the items. Comments continued: "Went straight to Primark after work and got the red one.... ". "Need it in my life", said another Primark fan. Another added: "I just bought them all today! They are sooooo cute!"
