Colourful storage jars from the Primark at Home range have attracted attention after the products were flagged up on the retailer's Instagram page. More than 9,000 shoppers have like the most, with many posting comments to show their appreciation of the products.
Posting to its 9.4 million followers, a Primark spokesperson said: "Organise your pantry like a pro with colourful storage Primark Home at £7." One follower reacted with a comment saying: "Love it all." While others posted emojis and tagged in their friends.
It comes as the High Street giant prepared to launch a new website service. There will not be a delivery service on offer as bosses ruled out the moved. The new website will allow customers to see what clothes are in stores right now, instead of just a preview like on its current website.
Currently, shoppers often have to use social media to get a look at the new ranges on offer in stores. The fashion chain also confirmed that customers will be able to check stock levels in their local store - meaning you’ll be able to see what is available, the Mirror reports.
John Bason, finance director of Primark’s owner, Associated British Foods, told Reuters: “We’re making the digital move forward in a very big way in both the UK and the rest of Europe. That will generate sales and profits for us. Does this give us a capability to move further forward? Well let’s have a look at that. If there was an e-commerce opportunity for us, it will probably be more in the area of click-and-collect.”
