Primark shoppers are ‘obsessed’ with a new Barbie-themed swimsuit after spotting it online.
With anticipation building over the release of the new Barbie film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, Primark has released its own Barbie range so shoppers can get excited ahead of it coming to cinemas on July 21.
The much-loved retailer is known for its affordable clothing and homeware products, and often shares new trending items online. This time, Primark shared a photo of the new swimsuit to its 10.3m followers on Instagram.

The photo posted to Primark’s Instagram has since received 86k likes and more than 1,000 comments. The post was captioned: “The iconic Barbie™ swimsuit in #BarbieTheMovie vs on our mannequin. Swimsuit £14/€16/$18 #Primark #InStoreNow.”
The swimsuit, which is priced at £14, looks just like the one worn by Margot Robbie in the upcoming Barbie movie, featuring a blue and pink swirl pattern. Primark showed the swimsuit as seen on Margot, alongside an image of its own version.
Beneath the popular post, one shopper said: “Obsessed” and a second wrote: “So excited for all the Barbie merch.” A third added: “holiday swimwear sorted.”
A fourth excited shopper said: “I have a very very high case of barbie fever!!” A fifth replied to a friend and wrote: “Exactly... spot on ...show stopper” and a sixth added: “not a want, a need.”
The full Barbie range at Primark consists of 72 items ranging from £4 earrings that are featured in the movie, £14 Neon Print Swimsuits, a £15 Zip-Up Velour Hoodie with matching £15 Velour Loose-Fit Trousers and even £2 Laptop Stickers.
