Primark has withdrawn its popular period underwear and swimwear from sale, leaving shoppers and fans of the high street retailer baffled.
The feminine hygiene items, which have been part of the shops range for just over a year, have been quietly disappearing from shelves.
People have been scrambling for the last pairs and some have been going into stores and leaving empty handed.
One shopper shared her concerns on a Facebook fan site asking: "Does anyone know why Primark can ‘no longer sell’ period pants?
"I was looking for some today and that’s what the lady told me - she has no idea why though?"
And another said: "Have Primark stopped stocking the period pants?"

The period underwear was first introduced into Primark back in May 2021 and the range of 17 products started off at just £6, and then introduced swimwear too.
It claimed that one pair of knickers could hold the equivalent menstrual blood as four tampons, and they just needed rinsing in cold water before putting in the wash as normal.
At the time of the launch Primark’s product director, Paula Dumont Lopez, said: “At Primark, we believe that period products should be accessible to anyone who needs them, and we are delighted to be the first high street retailer to offer period underwear at this price point.
“Our period underwear gives our customers an alternative to other period products which often end up in landfill.
"We want to give our customers the option to have a more sustainable period and to help them be kinder to the environment.”
So why have they been taken off sale?
The Mirror spoke to Primark to get to the bottom of the issue and was told that customers were indeed right and the entire range had been taken off sale across all the UK stores.
A spokeswoman told the Mirror: "We’ve temporarily removed our period underwear from sale to review the labelling to ensure that it is fully in line with UK requirements.
"This work is still ongoing so while we can’t confirm a restock date just yet, we hope to have them back on sale as soon as possible.”
