Primark shoppers have been left "baffled" after the retailers highly anticipated Greggs collaboration has been selling out and turning up on eBay for higher prices.
The fashion giant and the bakery chain surprised the country with their unique collaboration which dropped in selected stores across Scotland from Saturday, February 19.
Despite the 11-piece collection landing in 60 stores across the whole of the UK just a couple of days ago, it looks like many have sold out with demand high for the eccentric collection.
Many shoppers were quick to turn to social media to convey how they were "baffled" at how the eccentric collection has managed to sell out as fast as it did.
One Twitter user said: "I can't wrap my head around this country, Primark have sold out of Greggs merchandise? Who wants a sausage roll on a shirt or a pasty on a beanie hat!?
"This is as bad as that bizarre phase of the wolf howling at the moon."
While another wrote: "The Greggs Primark stuff sold out? Okay, is this the actual apocalypse now?"
"Greggs x Primark... sold out?", questioned a third.
Shoppers have been left further baffled as quite a few of the bakery-themed goods have been showing up on eBay for much higher prices than they were going for in-stores.
A £10 top with the bakeries iconic sausage roll has been listed on the selling website for the much steeper price of £25, while the viral £16 novelty trainers are selling for a whopping £50.
We also found the £8 white sliders being sold online for £34.95 on the auction site.
One Twitter user said : "The Greggs x Primark collection sold out and people are now reselling it on EBay for 8x the price. This country baffles me."
"So confused by the Greggs Primark clothing brand selling out and getting flipped on ebay for huge markups ... what are people doing exactly!?!", commented another.
"And now I see that people have bought up all the Primark/Greggs clothing and are selling it on eBay for ridiculous prices! £140 for a hoodie that was about £16. Seriously", wrote another user.
It comes after increasing demand for novelty themed merchandise, with Lidl and Aldi branching out into clothing and accessories last year.
Some of the budget supermarket's merchandise also wound up on eBay - with Lidl's iconic £13 trainers selling for up to a whopping £1,000.
