Primark shopper issues dishwasher warning after water bottle shrinks

A Primark shopper has urged other who have purchased a water bottle from the retailer not to put it in the dishwasher, after doing so left her's shrunk.

The budget giant sells plastic drinking bottles, and as the customer since learned, they are not suitable for the dishwasher.

While many reusable drinking bottles are safe to be washed in the machine, a lot of others are not due to the type of plastic they are made of — which can leave them damaged and unusable after a wash.

Taking to the PRIMARK HAUL Facebook group, the shopper shared a picture of her water bottle and wrote: "For all you Primark Haulers…Do not Dishwash your water bottles "

Since being posted, the photo has attracted almost 700 likes and over 120 comments from fellow consumers sharing their thoughts on the incident.

Many shared their similar experiences, with one stating: "I washed mine in hot tap water after having covid and this happened!"

"I’ve made this mistake more than once," a second revealed.

A third said: "My teen daughter did this to hers, only she put boiling kettle water (thinking she was giving it a good clean) and it shrunk before her eyes".

"I think everyone has done that at one point lol," joked a fourth.
