Primark shares 'perfect-co ord' in popping pink colour for spring

This weekend's glorious sunshine had many people digging to the backs of their wardrobes and dusting off their summer wear for barbecues and day trips, as temperatures reached more than 20C.

As shops reopen today (Monday, April 18) after the Easter Sunday closures yesterday, fashion fans will be searching their local high streets for an outfit or two to see in the new season. For those on a budget, Primark will be a popular stop.

The retail giant took to Instagram this morning to entice shoppers with a brightly-coloured matching set it described as the "perfect pink co-ord". It pictured a bubblegum pink cropped short-sleeve shirt with floaty shirts in an identical fabric.

Within two hours of going live, the post had racked up more than 8,000 likes as fans lusted after the tailored design and button detailing. "Such a cute little set" enthused one person in the comments section, while another declared: "I need this in my life."

The shorts are being sold for £10 while the matching shirt retails at £11. However, some fans commented saying they had struggled to find stock in stores, expressing frustration that there is no option to order online.

One shopper wrote: "I have the shorts in ecru they are so comfy but my store had 4 pairs left 2 weeks ago and there was no sign of coloured ones. You always seem to put up these photos weeks after they were in store so they have sold out."

Another echoed: "Primark need to do online now can [never] get them in the shops." Primark launched a new website earlier this month but much to customers' disappointment, there is still no online shopping function.

There is a new stock checking tool, allowing people to filter by their local branch and select their size to see if it is in store.
