Primark showcased denim, heels and a corset as one of its latest 'must have' outfits but shoppers had mixed views with some questioning the suitability of the corset top as daywear. When the fast fashion retailer teamed a pink lace detailed top with jeans and heels, and did the same combo with a white corset top, fans sat in one of two camps.
Some shoppers fell in love with the look. One fan commented: "Omg, omg, I need, I want!", with another adding: "Need those bralettes, especially the pink". A third person said: "Let’s go to Primark NOW" and another simply commented "obsessed". One shopper asked a friend: "Are we this brave?".
However, other shoppers were not so impressed. "That's not a going out top! That's a bedroom top!!" exclaimed one person after viewing the outfit suggestions. Another, referring to a character from 90s hit film Pretty Woman, said: "Kit Deluca wants her outfit back." Comments continued. Another shopper asked: "I'm sorry but when was it ever appropriate to wear a nearly see through corset outside - you [are] really encouraging the younger generation the wrong way."
