Primark have issued an urgent recall notice to customers after health and safety concerns over a popular Disney product.
The Winnie the Pooh bamboo plate hit stores in January this year and customers have been issued a message to return them to stores as soon as possible and will be offered a refund. This comes after the product has been found to cause a possible safety risk.
According to a statement by Primark, is has been found to release trace amounts of lead and formaldehyde at levels higher than the EU regulation permitted levels which could be dangerous if ingested.

In the statement the retailer said: "It has come to our attention that the Primark children's dining product 'Winnie the Pooh plate' does not meet the usual high standards for safety. This product has been found to release trace amount of lead and formaldehyde at at levels higher than the EU regulation permitted levels, this may present a risk if ingested.
"The product has been on sale in our stores in the UK from January 13 2022.
"With the safety of our customers at the forefront of our minds we are conducting a voluntary reclass and invite you to return this product to any Primark store for a full refund.
"You will not be required to provide proof of purchase of a receipt in order to receive a refund."
Lead poisoning can cause abdominal pain and constipation, according to the NHS, while children can experience developmental delays and learning difficulties and formaldehyde can cause nausea, headaches, dizziness and hormone issues.
A Primark spokesman said: "We take the safety of our customers and the quality of our products very seriously, which is why we have removed this product from sale in all our stores and are conducting a recall."
