Primark issues new change to website that shoppers are delighted with

Primark is one of the most famous faces on the high street with 191 stores spread throughout the UK.

And just recently they launched their new website feature for their UK base which has already been a hit with shoppers.

But now their website is set to grow even more.

The fashion giant relaunched its website earlier this month with one of their main features being that customers could check stock in their local Primark.

In another update, the retailer has confirmed it's adding a 'wish list' feature meaning shoppers will soon be able to create their very own Primark account and wish list of clothes to keep tabs on the outfits you want to purchase at a later date.

Home delivery is still not available, despite shoppers called for the service when non-essential shops closed during lockdown.

The good news comes with some bad news with Primark warning its shoppers that prices on some of their items will rise in autumn amid inflation which, according to the Mirror, has hit a new 30-year high of 7% in March. The Bank of England has predicted that it could peak at around 8% later this year.

Primark said: "Looking further ahead, inflationary pressures are such that we are unable to offset them all with cost savings, and so Primark will implement selective price increases across some of the autumn/winter stock.

"However, we are committed to ensuring our price leadership and everyday affordability, especially in this environment of greater economic uncertainty."

John Bason, finance director of Primark’s owner, Associated British Foods, told Reuters back in March 2022: “We’re making the digital move forward in a very big way in both the UK and the rest of Europe.

“That will generate sales and profits for us. Does this give us a capability to move further forward? Well let’s have a look at that.

“If there was an e-commerce opportunity for us, it will probably be more in the area of click-and-collect.”
