Primark is selling £20 parachute pants and shoppers are buying them in every colour

Primark shoppers are going crazy for another nostalgic 90s/00s item - parachute pants. The retail giant is selling the retro trousers in three colourways (black, beige and lilac) for £20 and it seems these blasts from the past have plenty of modern day fans, too.

Posting a picture of the three colour options to its Instagram page, Primark captioned the photo: "New arrivals: Parachute Pants only £20." More than 15,000 people have already 'liked' the image, with many sharing their love for the new products in the comments section.

One shopper said: "I have the beige! They're so nice to wear! I paired it with a Primark pink chunky knit jumper, black converse and bomber jacket! Need the lilac now though!"

Another wrote: "Got the lilac ones, they're lush on." While a third even wanted "two of each" colour.

Many Primark fans were tagging their friends in the post, commenting that the parachute pants were "beautiful", with some sharing styling tips with others who were yet to make their purchase. One customer described them as being "high waisted" as a jumper could be tucked into them, with more adding that they were on their "wish lists".

The only issues revealed in the comments were that of stock, with one person saying: "So annoyed they all sold out the minute they arrived in my Primark. So gorgeous."

However some shoppers were also concerned the trousers wouldn't look right on taller frames. One commenter wrote: "I wish I wasn't so tall, these would be perfect", to which a couple of others agreed.

But overall it seems the rise of the "comfier trouser" is a relief for fashion fans. One shopper told Primark: "I do appreciate that it is more comfy fashion now.

"I'm glad skinny jeans are kind of out now. We can finally breathe. I hope you will have designs like these in warm fabric too for next winter, because I'll buy loads of them."
