Autumn is here and many people will be looking for a comfy and affordable pair of leggings for the colder months ahead, a must-have item for hibernating in front of a good box set. Luckily, Primark has already hit it out of the park on this front, with their £7 plush velvet leggings having arguably created more seasonal excitement than that first sip of pumpkin-spiced latte.
Made with an elasticated waistband and ribbed cuffs, and with a snuggly soft faux fur lining, the Primark website suggests wearing these charcoal-coloured leggings "with a baggy T-shirt around the house or pair with trainers and a sweatshirt on the next shop run."

TikTok influencer Amy Blann - who goes by the username @amyblann - has now raved about the leggings in a video showcasing her recent Primark haul, hailing them as "genuinely the comfiest leggings that I've ever put on." Although she wasn't really "a fan" of the front seam, Amy noted that, with an oversized jumper thrown over the top, "it would be fine."
Amy went on to pair the leggings with a soft, rugby-style sweater, achieving a cosy yet on-trend look, ideal for autumnal strolls. The video has since been viewed more than 422.1K times and counting, with many now rushing out to buy a pair of their own.
Tagging their pals, one style-conscious person commented: "I think these leggings plus an oversized black jumper and boots should be our winter uniform."
Another approving individual gushed, "The leggings are incredible. And they don't show your underwear line either", while a third testified, "I live in the black fluffy leggings! They’re so good in winter!"
A fourth said: "The leggings in the winter hit different, you literally can’t feel the cold at all."
According to the Primark website: "Comfort has no limits and these plush velvet leggings are taking it to the next level. Cut for a close fit, these leggings are made from velvet - a popular fabric throughout the ‘90s – and are finished with a soft faux fur lining (as if they needed to be any cosier)."
