Primark has brought back its popular money-saving Christmas product that could help customers save on wrapping paper this year. The festive bags double as wrapping paper, or can be used for sending presents through the post.
The return of the brown and red striped bags has gone down well on social media, Hull Live reports. They were hugely popular last year and although Christmas is still two months away, many are already excited to make use of them again.
One happy customer, Fiona Spriggs, posted in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to say she was already making use of the bags. She wrote: "Free wrapping paper and gift tags made out of Primark bags."

Others then commented to say what a good idea the bags were. One said: " What a brilliant idea! Two uses out of one item and can be recycled after that’s a win win!" And another added: " Well done Primark for an ingenious idea!!"
However, others suggested they wouldn't be best pleased to receive a present wrapped in one of the bags. One person said: "Primark really pushing their paper shopping bags as wrapping paper! That really gives off vibes as ‘cheap b******’."
And another unimpressed Facebook user commented: " Primark wrapping paper is like cheap embossed wallpaper… it’d be better used lining the inside of a rabbit hutch or as a handy firestarter #xmaswrappingfail."
Someone else highlighted the challenge of Christmas wrapping with cats around, saying: "Maybe I will actually try and use the Primark bag as wrapping paper. My cats: or we can rip it up and use it as a bed."
Primark shared a video on YouTube last Christmas, showing how the bags can be used as wrapping paper. The bags also come with instructions on how they can be reused.
