Primark £4 'adorable' retro jewellery is back but shoppers can't pinpoint the original era

It is a blast from the past but what goes around comes around. Primark has brought back a jewellery range that shoppers think is 'adorable'. However, some buyers have been left pondering just when it was last in vogue.

After spotting the 'fruity' necklaces on the budget retailer's Instagram page, shoppers were quick to pile on the likes for the accessory. Alongside a picture of the item and the caption: "Feelin' fruity. 2 pack necklaces £4/€5/$6 #Primark #InStoreNow #Accessories" over 11,000 people showed their love and liked the post.

Opinions included calling the necklace "beautiful", "adorable", with one person commenting "Mmmmmmmmm lovely." However, it was the question of when they were last popular that caused the contradiction.

Shoppers just couldn't pinpoint the exact era they were from. Some remembered the style in the 80s while others though it was the 90s when they were showing them off. One Primark fan wrote: "90s jewellery sorted!!". However, another said: "I used to have necklaces like that when I was a little kid in the 80s!! #retro". Primark's answer: "Now you can wear them as an adult in 2022."

Whenever you recall dressing to impress in the jewellery, most agreed that they were glad they had returned to the shelves. One person wrote: "Someone left a pack on the shelf at the tills while I was in the queue...Straight in my shopping bag. They are soooo cute!".

Another wrote: "OMG - Absolutely LOVE this!" Another, tagging in a friend, and said: "Next time we go remind me to get these x".

The comments continued with, "Makes me feel like a kid again" and "They look like candies, can you eat them??". We'd like to point out that they aren't edible.
