Gary 'Mani' Mountfield died last week aged 63

Primal Scream have hailed Gary 'Mani' Mountfield as a "true punk and working class hero".

The legendary bassist - who rose to fame in The Stone Roses in 1987 - went onto join psychedelic indie rock group in 1996, and his former bandmates have paid an emotional tribute after he was remembered by his beloved Manchester United before their game against Everton at Old Trafford on Monday (24.11.25).
