Pride Picnic was a great success for LGBT community

A recent Pride Picnic, to show support for the LGBT+ community, at Ferguslie park was a great success.

The event was organised by the Tannahill Centre and was bigger and bolder than last year’s as despite being very popular with the local community, only 100 people could attend due to the pandemic.

Jamie Mallan, business transformation manager at the Tannahill Centre said: “The Pride Picnic went really well. We had a wide range of activities such as face painting, we had a station where people could talk about what they take pride in.

“The event was decorated with pride bunting and positive messages around the building too.”

The centre has other events planned such as a free family roller disco on Saturday, July 23.
