Pride Cymru 2022: All the road closures in Cardiff for the bank holiday weekend event

A number of road closures have been announced for Pride Cymru 2022, the annual celebration of LGBT+ equality and diversity in Wales. This year's festival takes place on the bank holiday weekend, Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, in Cardiff.

The event is comprised of a city centre parade and a festival on Cardiff City Hall Lawns, in front of the City Hall and the National Museum of Wales. It will feature several stages and a family area, plus faith-based and deaf-inclusive tents.

The parade is on Saturday and has been a fixture in the calendar since 1985. It will start at 11am from Windsor Place. Entry to the parade is free with a suggested £2 donation, and entry to the festival stages is ticketed.

Sunday will play host to an equally sparkling roster which includes Boney M, BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts and Welsh of the West End.

A number of roads will be closed during the event as well as in the days before and after. We have the full list here:
