The big wheel has returned to Nottingham, giving panoramic views of Nottingham city centre this Christmas. The 60m high observation wheel, the largest transportable wheel in the UK, is located just outside the Council House in Old Market Square.
Passengers will get a bird's eye view of Winter Wonderland's festive market, bars and the skaters who will be gliding along on the aerial ice path, Sky Skate, which runs right next to the wheel. Countdown to the launch on November 15 has begun.
Visitors can just rock up and queue to go on the wheel or tickets can be bought in advance for fast track access. The wheel has has a flat fee and unlike ice skating there are no peak or off peak times.
The price for adults is £8, 12 to 17-year-olds, students and OAPs £7, and children under 12 £6. Slots can be booked every day from noon to 10pm, except Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve when the last booking is 7pm. Winter Wonderland's last day is December 31.
