As reported this week, work on the new attraction at this year's festive Winter Wonderland is well underway. Sky Skate, an aerial skating path metres above the crowd, takes skaters around all four corners of Old Market Square and has a skate-through bar as well as the rink at ground level.
Entry to Winter Wonderland is free but skating is one of the activities that has a charge. Advance booking is recommended to beat the queues and get access at the desired time.
There's a range of options from super off peak to the full VIP experience costing up to £90 for adults who really want to get into the Christmas spirit. Skaters get 75 minutes on the ice. This month is the cheapest time to go, starting on the opening day of Winter Wonderland on Tuesday, November 15. Prices rise the closer it gets to Christmas.
