Presley Gerber's final Instagram post showed him modelling clothes outdoors just weeks before his death at 27, with the photos now drawing renewed attention following news of his passing.
Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on 20 September at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California. He was 27.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has deferred the cause and manner of death pending additional testing.

Gerber shared his final Instagram post on 6 August, roughly six weeks before his death. The carousel showed the model outdoors in what appeared to be a garden, posing barefoot while wearing an all-black outfit from clothing brand Vuori.
Gerber smiled towards the camera in the photographs, wearing a black T-shirt and backwards cap, with his tattoos visible as he posed in the outdoor setting. He did not include a conventional caption, instead tagging Vuori.
The images have since received renewed attention following confirmation of his death, with the carousel becoming the final Instagram update shared by the model before his passing.

Unlike some of Gerber's earlier social media updates, his final upload was largely centred on fashion and modelling.
The fashion-focused images differed from the more personal subject matter he had addressed in earlier posts about his recovery. The photographs themselves do not establish Gerber's mental or physical condition at the time, but they offer a record of his final Instagram update before his death.

The post also drew attention after Paris Hilton left a comment saying 'Love you bro' on 20 September, hours before Gerber's death was publicly revealed.
The timing brought additional attention to the final post, although the reason for Hilton's comment has not been publicly established.

Gerber's final post came several months after a more personal 26 March Instagram update about his treatment journey.
According to TMZ, Gerber shared a video from a treatment facility and described undergoing what he called an 'Ibogaine Flood Dose.' He wrote about being frightened by the experience and hoping it would be the last time he needed to undergo the treatment.
The post received messages of support from his family. Crawford called her son a 'warrior,' while Kaia Gerber wrote that she was proud of her brother.
Gerber had also used Instagram to discuss mental health, including through his 'Mental Health Mondays' series, which Reuters reported he launched in 2025.
On 11 August, Kaia discussed her brother's long struggle with drug addiction and its impact on their family in a Vogue interview.
