Presley Gerber went to Mexico for drug treatment six months before death

  • Model Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, posted about undergoing treatment in Mexico six months prior to his death at a rehab facility.
  • An official cause of death has not yet been released for the 27-year-old, who previously modelled for high-profile fashion houses.
  • In March, Gerber posted about being treated with Ibogaine, a psychedelic drug used to treat substance dependence which is illegal in the US, but legal in Mexico.
  • Gerber had spoken publicly about his long-standing battles with mental health, depression, and addiction, as well as a 2019 DUI arrest.
  • His family, including Crawford and his sister Kaia Gerber, had previously expressed their pride and support for his recovery journey.
