Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber has died at the age of 27.
The model passed away at a rehab facility on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. No cause of death has been given.
In a statement issued to CBS, Allie Jenkins, a representative for supermodel Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, said: "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
Presley was born in California in 1999. Like his younger sister Kaia, Gerber had been a model, having made his runway debut for Italian label Moschino at the age of 16.
Gerber has also represented brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta.
When Gerber was 18 in 2018, he starred in a Pepsi television advert with his mother for the 52nd Super Bowl, helping to recreate the supermodel’s 1992 commercial advertising the same event 26 years prior.
He told People Style magazine in the US at the time that he had enjoyed being part of something that celebrated his mother’s career and spoke about how close he was with his family.
“We’re a really tight family, so it was just like going to work with one of your friends. It was so fun, and easy,” said Gerber.
His father Rande is a famous businessman who co-founded the Casamigos tequila brand with George Clooney.
In 2019, Presley was arrested for driving under the influence. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to complete a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) programme, as well as two days of community service, according to The Guardian.
Gerber had spoken about his mental health issues and drug use.
He told the Studio 22 podcast in 2023: "Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do."
His sister Kaia, 25, spoke about her brother’s “decade-long struggle with drug addiction” in the September 2026 issue of Vogue.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia told the fashion magazine.
“I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
Paris Hilton, the American socialite, was among those paying tribute to Presley, writing on Instagram: “I’m completely heartbroken, I still can’t believe this is real.
“Presley, you were such a beautiful soul. So sweet, sensitive, kind and genuine. I cared about you so much, And I’m going to miss you more than words can say.”
Brooklyn Beckham said he was “heartbroken” in a post on his Instagram story.
He said: “Presley you were the kindest and we are going to miss you so much.
“We love you.”
