As the spotlight shifts between the vice presidential nominees, the airwaves remain dominated by the presidential ad wars, with spending reaching new heights. Last week, a record-breaking total of over $82 million was spent on presidential advertising across the nation, with Democrats outspending Republicans by a significant margin.
Following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race, Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign have been actively promoting her record and biography while also launching attacks on former President Donald Trump. On the other side, the Trump campaign and its allies have been focusing on issues such as immigration and crime, attributing blame to both Biden and Harris.
The states that witnessed the highest presidential ad spending last week include Pennsylvania with over $24 million, Michigan with over $13 million, Georgia with nearly $11 million, Wisconsin with close to $9.5 million, Arizona with over $7 million, North Carolina with over $3.8 million, and Nevada with over $2.6 million.
