The announcement was made on Friday night through a post on X, where Trump shared a link to a website offering instructions for purchasing the coin. The post emphasized celebrating the values of 'WINNING' that the coin represents.
The newly introduced coin is described as 'fungible crypto assets created and tracked on the Solana blockchain' and will be traded under the symbol $TRUMP. Initially, 200 $TRUMP coins will be available for purchase, with plans to release a total of one billion coins over the next three years, coinciding with Trump's tenure in the White House.
