The invitation comes amidst social media criticism from Trump directed at California officials, particularly Governor Gavin Newsom, regarding their management of fire risks and water supply.
During a news conference addressing the wildfires, Mayor Bass confirmed that key members of the incoming administration have been contacted and that Trump has been invited to visit the affected regions.
