President Joe Biden is set to visit the battleground state of Wisconsin next Thursday to promote his 'Investing in America agenda,' as announced by the White House. This visit will mark his second trip to a battleground state following his return from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he is currently located. The president is also scheduled to join Vice President Kamala Harris in Pittsburgh on Monday to commemorate Labor Day.
Although President Biden is not seeking reelection, his decision to visit Wisconsin underscores an increase in his travel activities as the 2024 election approaches. Over the past nine days, he has been out of the public eye, spending time in Santa Ynez, California, and Rehoboth Beach.
Wisconsin, with its 10 electoral votes, holds significant importance in the upcoming election. In 2020, President Biden secured victory in the state by a margin of approximately 20,000 votes, while former President Trump claimed Wisconsin by about 22,700 votes in 2016.
Vice President Harris last visited Wisconsin during a campaign rally in Milwaukee as part of the Democratic National Convention. The upcoming visit by President Biden is expected to further emphasize the administration's commitment to engaging with key battleground states and addressing critical issues facing the nation.
