President Joe Biden’s family remains committed to supporting his 2024 candidacy, with the first lady and other family members fully backing him, according to a source familiar with their thinking.
First lady Jill Biden, a key confidant of the president, is currently in Michigan for official White House events focusing on summer nutrition programs and a summer camp for children from military families.
During her visit to Middleville, the first lady emphasized President Biden's efforts to alleviate financial burdens on parents in Michigan and nationwide.
Additionally, Jill Biden is scheduled to attend a campaign office opening in Traverse City alongside Chasten Buttigieg, the spouse of Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, before returning to the White House.
Former aides of President Biden highlighted the strong partnership between him and the first lady, noting that they make important decisions together and value each other's opinions.
Any significant decision regarding the president's future is expected to involve a small inner circle of family members, including Ashley Biden, Hunter Biden, and Valerie Biden.
Biden's family members are anticipated to join Fourth of July celebrations at the White House, with the president and first lady scheduled to speak at an event in Philadelphia and spend the weekend at their home in Wilmington, Delaware.
It is possible that additional family members will also gather in Delaware to spend time with the couple.
