President Biden's Continued Emphasis On 'Bidenomics'

Joe Biden

The Biden White House has been emphasizing the effectiveness of the term 'Bidenomics,' despite its declining usage by Democrats and President Biden himself in recent months. A report by Axios revealed that President Biden mentioned 'Bidenomics' only once in the past two months, with the latest instance being prompted by a question from the media outlet.

Initially, President Biden frequently used the term to promote his economic policies, mentioning it 29 times in June. However, its usage gradually decreased over time, with zero mentions in February. Notably, the term has been largely abandoned by Democrats, including prominent figures like Rep. James Clyburn.

Despite the diminishing use of 'Bidenomics,' President Biden reiterated its effectiveness during an event in North Carolina, stating that leading economists are now considering its success. White House spokesperson Michael Kikukawa affirmed that Biden will continue to discuss 'Bidenomics' as a contrast to congressional Republicans, whom he accused of favoring special interests over middle-class families.

While Biden initially distanced himself from the term when it was first introduced, he has since embraced it as a key message to highlight his economic achievements. Kikukawa defended Biden's economic record, citing rising consumer confidence and economic approval, along with tangible impacts on people's lives such as lower healthcare costs, infrastructure investments, job creation, and fairer taxation.

Despite the decline in mentions of 'Bidenomics' by Democrats, the White House remains committed to promoting the term as a symbol of the administration's economic policies and accomplishments.
