President Biden Responds To Calls To Drop Out

Joe Biden is seen in UAW strike

President Joe Biden has once again addressed calls for him to drop out of the presidential race, emphasizing that 'with age comes wisdom.' In an interview with Univision, Biden reflected on his recent debate performance and concerns about his age.

The interview took place before the White House announced Biden's positive Covid-19 test. When questioned about calls for him to exit the race, including from Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, Biden acknowledged his poor debate performance, attributing it to exhaustion from extensive travel.

'I had a terrible night on the debate night. I was exhausted, I had been traveling around the world, I wasn’t ready, and I performed terribly,' Biden admitted.

Addressing concerns about his age, Biden asserted that experience has brought him wisdom. 'I know the difference between truth and lies. I know the difference between good and bad. I know the difference between what has to be done,' he stated.

Regarding his confidence in securing the Latino vote, Biden expressed optimism and gratitude towards the community. 'I feel good. I’m indebted to the community,' he affirmed.

When discussing the upcoming election and voter engagement, Biden highlighted that many communities typically focus on the election closer to September. He noted that current discussions about voter preferences show a close race between himself and Trump.

The full interview is scheduled to air on Thursday afternoon, providing further insights into Biden's perspectives on the race and his campaign strategy.
