President Joe Biden made it clear to reporters before boarding Air Force One that he is firmly committed to staying in the 2024 race, despite recent questions about his age and fitness for office following a debate performance.
When asked if he was considering dropping out of the race, Biden responded with a resolute 'Completely ruling that out,' emphasizing his determination to continue his campaign.
Biden expressed confidence in his ability to defeat his opponent, former President Donald Trump, stating, 'I’ve beaten him before and I’ve gotten more done than any president has.'
The president revealed that he has received support from 20 members of Congress who have encouraged him to stay in the race, although he did not disclose their names.
Addressing reports about Sen. Mark Warner allegedly working to persuade Senate Democrats to ask him to step aside in the 2024 race, Biden suggested that Warner may be the 'only one considering that.'
Responding to Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey's statement urging him to 'carefully evaluate' his candidacy, Biden noted that Healey did not express such concerns during their interaction.
When asked about his recent interview, Biden indicated that he believed it was a positive experience.
