President Biden responded to calls from some Democrats for him to drop out of the race with a defiant tone on Monday. He firmly stated that he will be the Democratic nominee to face former President Trump in the upcoming election.
During an interview, Biden appeared resolute and at times appeared frustrated, dismissing any suggestions of his potential replacement. When questioned about his debate performance against Trump and whether he had undergone cognitive tests, Biden deflected the inquiry by emphasizing that he is tested daily through his duties as president.
This is not the first time Biden has avoided addressing inquiries about his mental acuity, as he previously sidestepped similar questions. Biden also criticized what he referred to as the 'elites' who are advocating for his withdrawal from the race, challenging them to contest him at the Democratic National Convention later this month.
