Biden will be heading to the Carolinas, where he plans to conduct an aerial tour of western North Carolina and receive updates on the ongoing recovery efforts.
The mayor of Asheville mentioned that due to the extensive damage to the city's roads, President Biden will be flying over Asheville instead of traveling by car. Mayor Esther Manheimer explained that only one highway into Asheville is operational, and it cannot be closed for the president's motorcade.
