The release date for The Bear Season Two has finally landed and I’m ready to risk it all for Carmy.
But in sad news for Australians, we’ll be copping the new season almost A MONTH after the US sees it.
NO, CHEF.
Season Two of The Bear will premiere in the US on June 22 via Hulu, but Australians will have to wait until July 19 to watch it on Disney+.
The silver lining is that all ten episodes will be available to watch upon premiere, so prepare to whip out your aprons and reignite your problematic crush on the bloke working in the kitchen at your hospo job as you binge TF out of it in one day.
As much as it sucks, it sounds like the wait will be worth it. Early reviews of Season Two are already coming through and at the time of writing, it has a perfect 100 per cent score over on Rotten Tomatoes.
A sequel that could be better than the original? Say it ain’t so.
To help tide you over for another month, you can rewatch the official trailer over and over again, which features Jeremy Allen White in many white t-shirts. Lord, have mercy.
The Bear Season Two: Trailer
As a former hospo girlie who has experienced the chokehold of a mildly attractive, tatted-up chef first-hand, I’m not ready.
In the trailer, we can see Carmy (Jeremy Allen-White) and Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) testing out a ‘chaos menu’ for the new version of the restaurant they’re opening (thanks to a handy stash of cash).
The food looks decidedly more schmick than the first season which is SURE to please my boy Carms.
ICYMI: The Bear follows a chef as he tries to navigate running his late brother’s Italian sandwich shop The Beef after his death. It not only captures the chaos of working in a kitchen (I would know, my brother’s a chef!), but it’s also surprisingly emotional and gutsy.
When is The Bear Season Two coming out?
Australians can watch the new season of The Bear on July 19 over on Disney+, perfect for some winter bingeing.
Americans, however, will cop eps way before us on the 22 of June.
Screaming, crying, throwing up.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to watch Carmy compilations continuously for the next month. Enjoy.
