That’s about all we’ve got time for today. It’s always a pleasure to helm the Friday football blog and this one has been jam-packed full of news.
There’s a big juicy weekend of action to look forward to, of course. And I’ll leave you with Football Daily, which has just landed online and will be coming to your email inbox any minute now. Mercifully, it’s not about Rúben Amorim – there’s plenty to read about him elsewhere on the website – but the entertaining world of the Championship. Bye and enjoy!

If you’ve already got Amorim fatigue then this comes with our apologies, but since it’s been the news of the day it’s interesting to see the reaction from inside the Manchester United camp.
And who better than Portugal international Diogo Dalot to provide the insight on his fellow countryman?
“He is a fantastic coach and knows what he wants. Very demanding is what I can expect. It’s a perfect match for a club like this,” Dalot told Sky Sports.
“The Premier League suits people from Portugal. We have a culture of constantly trying to improve ourselves as we come from a small country. I really hope that it is one more case. I am really excited to start working with him.”
