The summer transfer window continues at great pace as we edge towards the start of the Premier League season. Here are the latest transfer rumours:
Atletico not interested in Ronaldo
Atletico Madrid are reportedly not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United because the transfer is 'not economically viable'.
It's claimed the veteran forward, 37, wants to join Diego Simeone at Atletico and keep his hopes of winning a sixth Champions League trophy alive. United will play in the Europa League this coming season after finishing sixth in the Premier League last term.
Ronaldo would generate plenty of controversy if he joined Atletico. The Portugal international is Real Madrid 's record scorer with 450 goals and would leave United - a club close to his heart - in the lurch after new manager Erik ten Hag confirmed he's part of his plans.
As reported by Spanish outlet Marca, Atletico can't afford Ronaldo's salary, which saw him take home £480,000 per week last season. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has one year left on his contract and almost certainly need to take a pay cut if he wants to leave before its expiration date.
Arsenal closing in on Zinchenko
Arsenal hope to conclude a deal with Manchester City to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.
It is understood the total transfer fee for the Ukraine international will be worth in the region of £30m.
Talks are continuing over the deal, and there is growing confidence that it can be completed soon.
Zinchenko has spent just over six years at Man City after joining the club as a teenager from Russian side Ufa.
Matthijs de Ligt to join Bayern
Bayern Munich have agreed a €80m deal with Juventus to sign centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.
The 22-year-old Netherlands international is expected to sign a five-year contract until the summer of 2027.
It is understood De Ligt could complete his medical in Munich on Monday and sign the deal. The defender should then join the team on board their flight to the USA, which is also on Monday.
Snoeijs to complete Everton move
Netherlands international striker Katja Snoeijs has completed a move to Everton on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract with the Club until the end of June 2024, subject to visa approval.
