Elsewhere on Saturday, Manchester United beat West Ham 1-0 thanks to a late Marcus Rashford goal and Brentford lost 2-1 at home against Wolves.
Newcastle won 1-0 at Leeds to boost their survival hopes, while Aston Villa won 1-0 at Everton.
