Scotland are set to face Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko in Sebastien Pocognoli's first game with the £73 million ace ready to end his international exile.

Pocognoli will announce his squad for the four Nations League matches today and so will Slovenia, who Scotland face in their opening game in their group in Ljubljana. And the hosts are set to be boosted by being able to include Sesko for the first time in a year.

The 47-times capped hitman has declared himself back fully fit after finally overcoming a persistent shin injury and he netted in their Champions League victory over Sabah last week.

Sesko has consistently pulled out of Slovenia's squads over the past year which has caused friction between his national association and the Old Trafford giants.

Slovenia boss Bostjan Cesar even warned United earlier this year he would not be 'pushed around' and there was also controversy when he missed Slovenia's World Cup play-off defeat to Kosovo last year too despite playing for United.

However, the 23-year-old has now declared himself fully fit and over his injuries and he will be named in their squad today and will line up for Slovenia for the first time in a year.

He hasn't scored for his country for two years and scored the last of his 16 international goals in a defeat to Norway.
